You can even look out for the man himself, with Santa expected to ride around the Porthcawl shores on his very own lifeboat.
Burn off your mince pies with a 10km Christmas Pudding run
Make some room for all those mince pies with Bridgend's famous Christmas pudding race on 9th December. The 10km race crosses a range of challenging terrain, including Europe's second highest sand dunes, the Merthyr Mawr. With a range of exciting prizes including £100 in cash to the first lady and gent that reach the top of the dreaded Big Dipper! Don't worry though, everyone that races receives a Christmas Pudding race memento.

McArthur Glen shopping outlet will be pulling out all the stops this year to help you with your Christmas shopping. Take a selfie with Santa, enjoy a Welsh gin pop-up and shop later than usual in the week building up to Christmas, with shops open until 9pm. The Bridgend Christmas market will also return on Saturday, 15th December, providing all the treats and delicacies to get you into the festive spirit. Expect more than thirty stalls selling gifts, tasty craft beers and delicious local produce. Open 11am-4pm.

Fill your boots this Christmas with some delicious Welsh food and local produce. The Christmas festivities in Bridgend Town Centre will finish with a bang for the Welsh Christmas Feastival. After you've finished eating far too much, get some last minute Christmas shopping done at Bridgend's unique craft stalls. Santa's very own Christmas elves will be on hand to help wrap your gifts for a sprinkle of festive magic. 11am-4pm 21st-22nd December.
Meet Santa and his reindeer
Our resident Santa Claus will be treating children to festive treats in his grotto on Saturday 1st, 8th and 15th December between 10am-4pm. On Saturday 15th December Bridgend town centre will turn white for the 'White Christmas in Bridgend' event where the public can pop along for a snow-filled day of fun. Get inside a giant snow globe for the ultimate Christmas card photo, watch a magical ice sculpture carving and play in hourly snow flurries.11am-4pm. Santa's grottotickets £5.
