Rest Bay Bike Hire

Set up in the newly built Rest Bay Water Sports Centre, the bike hire shop is in the perfect location to discover the local amenities.

We have for hire adult mountain bikes and fat bikes, children’s mountain bikes, tag along, and trailers for the little ones. Bike helmets and locks are included in the hire price. You can choose how long you would like to hire for, just collect from the shop, enjoy your cycle and return the bikes to the shop at the allotted time.

To the east you can cycle along the path to visit Porthcawl town centre and the promenade, passing by coffee shops, ice-cream parlours, restaurants and pubs. Continuing on, you arrive at Coney (Sandy) Beach in front of the Fun Fair. Travel further along the coastal path and you arrive at Newton beach which stretches to the river Ogmore and Merthyr Mawr sand dunes.

To the west, you can cycle past Rest Bay and Pink Bay and reach Sker Point. At low tide the wreckage of the S.S. Santampa can be seen along with the memorial to the crew and members of the Mumbles lifeboat who lost their lives trying to save them. From here you can cycle the10km of Kenfig Sands (Sker) beach or explore the beauty of Kenfig Dunes Nature Reserve. The dunes are an important ecological site, containing an assortment of rare species, including the Fen Orchid. The beach Kenfig Sands, leads all the way to Port Talbot.
