Orchard Project - Volunteering Opportunities at Kenfig NNR & Bryngarw Country Park

January 23, 2026

In partnership with Kenfig Corporation Trust, Bryngarw Park, Bridgend Local Nature Partnership and local volunteers, the Orchard Project will be restoring heritage fruit orchards at several sites in Bridgend. This project will include maintenance and pruning of existing trees, supplementary planting and eDNA analysis of unknown fruit varieties at existing orchards. These orchards will support biodiversity by providing habitat and food sources for pollinators while offering opportunities for community harvesting, training and volunteering.

The dates below indicate when the sessions are planned to take place(weather permitting). Each session will involve training followed by practical work. If anybody would like to attend they should contact Witchhazel from the Orchard Project at the following address: witchhazel@theorchardproject.org.uk
