Miners Cottage, Kenfig Hill

Nestled on outskirts of Bridgend in a village to the West called Kenfig Hill, Miners Cottage is in an elevated position overlooking Margam Valley and mountains and with views across Swansea Bay to the Mumbles and Gower peninsular, making it a perfect base for touring the beautiful Southern Wales coastline and Brecon Beacons National Park.
The cottage was once part of the Margam Estate and has been in Ruth's family for over 200 years and has been lovingly restored to a very high standard and now offers a double, twin and a single room. The bathroom was inspired by the slate and steel industries of Wales past with bath, power shower, and adjustable mood lighting. The modern kitchen houses a fridge and freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. The slate floored dining room seats ten people so there is ample room to hold dinner parties for friends. The lounge has comfortable sofas, free WIFI, TV including BT YouView for films and iplayer, a DVD, wireless sound bar (play music from your phone or laptop wirelessly) as well as lots of interactive games for evenings in. There is a private garden with garden furniture, great for barbecues. One well behaved dog welcome.
