Bridgend County is home to Royal Porthcawl Golf Club, widely regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the world, and the best in Wales. Granted its title in 1912 by King George VII, Royal Porthcawl has hosted endless amateur and professional events over the years, and tests the very best golfers to the maximum. The Pyle and Kenfig Golf Club, affectionately known as ‘P & K’, offers a final three holes that stake a real claim to being among the finest holes in golf. Both links courses are GEO-certified – an environmental management award which recognises advanced sustainability in golf.
Within the County there are a further five places to play including Maesteg Golf Club, designed in the early 20th century by James Braid, the famous Scottish professional golfer turned golf course designer.
Each of our golf courses is different. All are very welcoming. That’s why a trip to Bridgend County is on the bucket list of many aspirational golfers.
