Parc Slip Nature Reserve itself is an area of 300 acres containing a fantastic mix of habitats such as grassland, woodland and wetlands, restored from its previous status as an opencast coal mine.
The museum has a great many collections on offer, including the 49th Reconnaisance Regiment formed in 1941, Samtampa Disaster 1947, Railways, The Great War exhibition, archaeological finds and records from local churches.

The annual illuminated Tractor run takes place on Saturday 13th of December. The tractors are magnifically decorated in Christmas lights and decorations. They drive a set route around the County, (route can be found on line)starting at Parc Slip, then travelling through Bridgend, Porthcawl, and surrounding areas. This event is not to be missed.
Great news, following the success of the October Market, we would like to invite you to a Very Merry Maesteg, Christmas Market, on the 13th December between 11-3pm. This include live musical performances from local Choirs and groups. An event for all of the family.
