Parc Slip Nature Reserve itself is an area of 300 acres containing a fantastic mix of habitats such as grassland, woodland and wetlands, restored from its previous status as an opencast coal mine.
The museum has a great many collections on offer, including the 49th Reconnaisance Regiment formed in 1941, Samtampa Disaster 1947, Railways, The Great War exhibition, archaeological finds and records from local churches.

Ty Tanglwyst is a working dairy farm. The four characterful cottages have been converted from stone barns and are ideally located only 10 minutes from the stunning South Wales Coast. Lots to see and do in this area.
Hut 9 is a World War 2 German prisoner of war camp from 1943-1945. It held up to 2,000 prisoners. It is now run by a Preservation group, who hold open days 3 times a year for the general public to come and experience how life would be in a POW camp. Pre-booking is necessary.
The newly formed Market, is a must visit while visiting Bridgend County. The are a wide range of quality products on offer, Meats, Cheeses, Cakes, to craft items. Please remember to pay for your parking.
