Christmas Pudding Race

The Brackla Harriers Merthyr Mawr Christmas Pudding Race is a landmark event in the South Wales running calendar. Taking place on a Sunday in early December (tide dependent), the race attracts a faithful following, averaging in recent years over 700 entrants (18 years+). The event appeals to all types of runners – from elite athletes donning their club vests to fun runners in their festive fancy dress. It is just over 6 miles, taking in a range of terrains including ‘the big dipper’- Europe’s second highest sand dune, with a mulled wine and mince pie stop halfway.
