Newton is the most easterly beach at Porthcawl and is a ten minute walk from the picturesque village of Newton.
The most westerly pair of Porthcawl’s bays and beaches, Pink Bay and Sker may not be as accessible as the more easterly beaches, but they’re quieter and unspoilt because of it.
The museum has a great many collections on offer, including the 49th Reconnaisance Regiment formed in 1941, Samtampa Disaster 1947, Railways, The Great War exhibition, archaeological finds and records from local churches.

Historian, author & broadcaster Graham Loveluck-Edwards (off the telly) is brining this history talk based on his new book “Scoundrels, cads and vagabonds from Welsh history” to a venue near you. This is the first show created by the Theatr Bont Community Company that is being presented in Bridgend at the end of this month. "WHERE DO WE GO?" An episodic comedy/drama Set on Platform 2, Bridgend Train Station. The show runs for three days/four performances on January 29th - 31st. 7pm, with a 3pm matinée on the Saturday.
